Ogeechee Technical College

Here at Ogeechee Technical College, we play a vital role in strengthening the economic climate of our area, one highly skilled graduate at a time. Since our beginning in 1986, we’ve grown from 75,000 square feet to over 330,000! Numerous buildings now grace our campus in Statesboro, with additional locations in Evans and Screven Counties. This growth has been necessary to fulfill the workforce needs of the region.

Let’s begin the tour of our campus with the iconic Joseph E. Kennedy Building or JEK as we call it. Not only was JEK our first building and the inspiration for our diamond logo, but it’s also home to some of the most important aspects of college life – the library, enrollment services, college bookstore, and Cattails Café.

Our health-related programs are housed in both the Health Science South and North buildings. These programs include Dental Assisting, Paramedicine Technology, Medical Assisting, Practical Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Sonography, Echocardiography, and Opticianry – as well as our unique Funeral Service Education program and the popular Esthetician clinic.

Located nearby is our Occupational Studies Building, home to an eclectic grouping of programs, such as Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, Veterinary Technology, and Automotive Technology.

On the outskirts of our campus, you’ll find the state-of-the-art Natural Resources Building, a unique architectural structure for the area. Not only does this building house our Adult Education and Continuing Education services, but it also includes academic programs such as Agribusiness, Fish & Wildlife Management, and Conservation Law Enforcement.

Next door sits our Industrial Technology Building, home of our impressive robotics lab, the Industrial Maintenance Lab, and some of our STEM-related programs, including Electrical Systems Technology and Logistics.

To meet the demands for professional truck drivers we opened the Screven Commercial Truck Driving Complex, where students not only learn in a classroom but receive hands-on experience on the range.

Our final location in Hagan, the Evans Technical Education Complex, serves multiple functions – Adult Education services, commercial truck driver training, and Heavy Diesel Service Technician classes.

While the inaugural Joseph E. Kennedy Building met our initial needs – growth, success, and strong community support have resulted in the beautiful campus you see today. Classrooms, labs, and support services are here to serve our students, and to help us meet the workforce needs of this area. However, the spirit of learning, our eager students, and knowledgeable faculty and staff make the buildings come to life.

Come see how we are creating, cultivating, and strengthening a homegrown workforce.
