John Locke

GIS Instructor

Mr. Locke has over ten years of GIS & planning experience in local & regional government. Mr. Locke has a Master’s Degree in Urban & Regional with an emphasis in GIS and Database Management from San Jose State University (San Jose, California).

Program Goals

Students in the program will learn to understand that GIS professionals recognize the impact of their GIS work in society as a whole, on subgroups of society including geographic or demographic minorities, on future generations, and inclusive of social, economic, environmental, or technical fields of endeavor.

Program Purpose Statement

The GIS Technology program prepares graduates for GIS careers in government, business, and natural resources in both the public and private sectors by providing quality education and service, promoting spatial problem-solving and analysis, and fostering teamwork and leadership.
