Testing Information
Ogeechee Tech is an official GED Testing Center. The GED exam is offered three times each month at different times and locations. See the testing schedule below. Successful completion of the GED Exam qualifies an individual for a General Educational Development Diploma. GED credentials are accepted by industry, government, licensing boards, technical colleges, colleges and universities, and are equivalent to a high school education.
The GED Test is a five-part test covering the following subject areas: Writing, Social Studies, Science, Literature and the Arts (Reading) and Mathematics. To pass the GED test, a total score of 2250 is required. An average of 450 points on each test is required with no individual test score falling below 410. The fee for GED testing is $19.00 for each section or $95.00 for the complete test.
Test Registration
All students taking the GED test must be registered prior to the day of the test. The schedule below gives dates, times and registration dates and times. Payment for the test is due at registration. Anyone registering to take the GED test must have met all the age requirements and have a current Drivers License or a State issued ID. No one will be registered without proper identification.

14 North College St., Statesboro, GA.
Registration for Statesboro testing: OTC main campus, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Registration at Evans and Screven centers is from 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
PAYMENT FOR EXAM IS DUE AT REGISTRATION.
