General Educational Development Credential (GED)

The 2015 GED® test is a four-subject high school equivalency test that measures skills required by high schools and requested by colleges and employers. The four subjects are Science, Social Studies, Mathematical Reasoning and Reasoning through Language Arts. After you pass the GED® test, your diploma or credentials will be issued by your state but you will receive a GED® transcript to apply to college, start training, or get a better job.

The test is part of the 2015 GED® program, the only high school equivalency program built to help adults qualify for college, training, or a good job with good wages.

At GED® Testing Service, we believe that everyone deserves a fighting chance at a good job with good wages. That's why the 2015 GED® program includes start-to-finish support and a test based on what's needed to succeed in college and jobs.

The fee, in Georgia, for the GED® test is $40 for each sub-test or $160 for the entire battery of tests. Scholarships may be available to eligible students who are enrolled in a GED® program and meet minimum requirements.

A debit or credit card is required for computer-based GED® testing. If you fail to test on the day for which you have scheduled a CBT, you will forfeit your registration fees. Ogeechee Technical College is unable to reschedule your test or provide you with a refund. To register for the CBT, go to www.ged.com. For more facts and information about the GED® test, please visit the TCSG website.
