Business Management Students at City Campus

Students from Ogeechee Technical College’s Business Management program recently had the opportunity to visit the Business Innovation Group (BIG) headquartered at Georgia Southern University’s (GSU) City Campus in downtown Statesboro. According to GSU’s website regarding BIG, “our focus is to provide our students and the community with the skills and training necessary to understand business principles, to experience how businesses operate, and to successfully launch a new business enterprise.”  Suzanne Hallman, Assistant Director of Entrepreneurship Education, provided students with a tour of the facilities, the background of the program, and information regarding the widespread resources available to the community.  One of the highlights of the visit was touring the FabLab, where ideas can become prototypes with the use of various tools, such as 3D printers.  Business Management instructor, Alex Harris, stated that “This wonderful, local resource is right at the fingertips of any hopeful entrepreneur. Statesboro is fortunate to have access to such facilities and expertise.”
