The Ogeechee Technical College Adult Education program participated in Bulloch County Schools' Math Night, held at Luetta Moore Park, and Real Men and Women Read Across America Day at Sallie Zetterower Elementary School. Adult Education Instructors, Nancy Holt and Sharon Ellis, worked with students on various math skills through fun games and activities. Ellis said, “Math is a subject of adventure.  Having a firm foundation in basic math, gives students confidence in other areas of education and life.” Samantha Smith, Dean for Adult Education, read to Pre-K students in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday for Read Across America Day. Dean Smith said, "Strong literacy skills are vital for student success.  Real Men and Women Read Across America promotes reading for students, but also encourages reading for adults. No matter the age, students who read, succeed.” The events were coordinated by Bulloch County Schools' Family and Parent Engagement Coordinators, Sharon Wilkins and Leslie Andujar.
