Description:
Under minimal supervision, directs and coordinates a comprehensive library program. Plans, organizes and supervises the unit's work to support instruction and meet the technical college's objectives. Provides budget input, selects, orders, processes and maintains an up-to-date library resource collection, to include available online resources as well as hardcopy library resources. Manages reference services for the college. Prepares and submits various internal and external narrative and statistical reports and disseminates information. Supervises subordinate employees. May assist in providing library orientation and library patrons in utilizing computers and software applications.
Required Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer three years of full-time paid library experience. Active participation in appropriate professional/occupational organizations.
