OTC Participates in Relay for Life Event

Employees' kids enjoy the jukebox at the OTC Relay for Life camp.

Ogeechee Technical College participated in the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life event in Statesboro on April 18 and 19.  The OTC team raised funds for the Cancer Society prior to the Relay, and also sold fresh baked cookies and raffle tickets for prize baskets at the Relay in support of Cancer research, education, and services through the ACS.  The Relay teams had various movie themes for the camps and OTC chose the movie Grease.  With decorations of records, a “jukebox”, and a dance floor, the OTC camp won an Honorable Mention for camp decoration.  Thanks to all the Relay for Life planning committee from Ogeechee Tech, as well as the employees, students, and families who supported the cause prior to and at the actual event.
