Ogeechee Tech Ag Instructor
By Elliott Marsh, Agribusiness Instructor, Ogeechee Technical College The Agribusiness Program at Ogeechee Technical College is currently accepting applicants for winter and spring quarters. Winter quarter begins January 7, 2008 and spring quarter begins April 7, 2008. Our lives are touched every day by some form of agribusiness, and we may not even recognize it. The Agribusiness program provides the groundwork for students to prepare for a career in the agricultural field. Ogeechee Technical College teaches various subjects related to today’s agricultural economy and how industry and government deal with those matters. OTC has the only Agribusiness program within the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education. Agribusiness students have opportunities to go on many field trips and interact with the many guest speakers who come to the classroom to help enhance the learning experience. Below is a sampling of some of the field trips and guest speakers students were able to enjoy this academic year:
