Agribusiness Students
Hold Panel Discussion

Agribusiness students hold panel discussion.

Representatives from Georgia Farm Bureau recently sponsored their first Agribusiness Program Discussion meet at Ogeechee Technical College (OTC).  OTC Agribusiness students were required to research and discuss topics and were judged on criteria established by Farm Bureau representatives.  Topics included how to utilize alumni of the Agribusiness program, how to continue to promote the Agribusiness program, and how to maintain a completive edge in United States animal production.  Guest panelists included two representatives from Georgia Farm Bureau headquarters, one from Lassiter Implement Company in Toombs County, and a Swainsboro peanut buying point operator.

Ogeechee Tech Agribusiness instructor, Elliott Marsh, stated, “This discussion panel format was a great way for our students to learn about topics related to Agribusiness, while also building public speaking skills and self confidence.”  Agribusiness students at OTC regularly utilize fieldtrips and guest speakers to supplement their classroom experience.  To learn more about Agribusiness, or other Natural Resources programs at Ogeechee Tech, visit www.ogeecheetech.edu.
