Becoming an Online Student


10 STEPS to SUCCESS


  1. Determine if Online Learning is for You:
    • Make sure you meet the eligibility requirements.
    • Make sure you meet the minimum technology requirements.
  2. Select a Program of Study or Course:
    • View Programs of Study or Courses of Study offered at Ogeechee Technical College.
  3. Complete the Online Application Form:
    • Complete, print and sign the Online Application Form.
    • Mail a copy of the completed application with a $25.00 non-refundable fee to Ogeechee Tech's Admissions Office.
  4. Schedule Your Assessment Test:
    • Contact the Admissions Office to schedule the COMPASS Test.
    • SAT and ACT scores are also accepted.
  5. Complete Your Financial Aid Forms:
    • Visit www.gsfc.org to complete your state financial aid application.
  6. Complete and pass the Student Online Course Orientation.
  7. Consult Your Advisor:
    • Make an in-person or phone appointment with your advisor.
  8. Register for Courses:
    • Register online using BannerWeb or on campus during scheduled registration dates.
    • Pay for the courses.
  9. Order your Books:
    • Purchase your textbooks online.
  10. Start your Online Class:
    • E-mail your instructor as soon as you enroll in the online course.
