Writing Contest Winners Named at Ogeechee Tech

The winners of the Second Annual Ogeechee Technical College National Day on Writing Essay Contest were announced during Family Literacy Night at the College on October 29th, 2012. After the announcement, the first-place winner read her essay to an audience of Ogeechee Tech students, faculty, friends, and family members.
The following students participated in the essay contest: Donyale Drawdy, Melvin Harper, Brenda Lee, Shonta Lisa Mitchell, Jace Moore, Renequa Muskin, Kia Pigford, and Tabatha Tillman.
The winners of the Second Annual Ogeechee Technical College National Day on Writing Essay Contest are: third-place, Tabatha Tillman; second-place, Melvin Harper; and first-place, Kia Pigford.
Dr. Lynn Futch, Ashley Gowgiel, and Amanda Hedrick served as judges for the event. “We would like to thank everyone who participated for helping make this contest a success, and we congratulate our winners!” said Amanda Hedrick.
