Portal High School, Southeast Bulloch High School, Statesboro High School, and Ogeechee Technical College are hosting a drop-in Open House for potential dual enrollment students and their parents on Monday, April 30, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The event will be held in the cafeteria on the campus of Statesboro High School, located at 10 Lester Road in Statesboro.
Parents and students can speak with instructors within the following fields of study: Automotive Chassis Technician Specialist, Basic Shielded Metal Arc Welder, Nurse Aide, and Shampoo Technician. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded. All rising juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend to find out how they can earn both high school and college credit for dual enrollment courses.
“The skills learned in these programs are marketable for employment upon completion, and are a good springboard to further education in these areas of study,” said Ryan Foley, Ogeechee Technical College’s Vice President for Student Affairs. “We hope students and their parents will attend the Open House to learn more about how they can benefit from dual and joint enrollment.”
For additional information, phone Ogeechee Technical College at 912.871.1600 or contact the Guidance Office at the appropriate high school.
