The board governs the Technical College System of Georgia, which consists of 25 technical colleges and one technical division at a Board of Regents institution. “We are fortunate to have Tommy David on the state board. He is devoted to supporting technical education, and Ogeechee Technical College is particularly close to his heart,” stated Dr. Dawn Cartee, President of Ogeechee Tech.
David was first appointed to the TCSG board by Governor Sonny Perdue, and reappointment by Governor Nathan Deal. “Technical education is critical to the vitality and success of our state. Workforce development, economic development, and the enhancement of the quality of life of all the state’s citizens is improved because of the work of the Technical College System of Georgia,” stated David.
