Georgia Work Ready Testing

The Governor’s Office of Workforce Development administers the Georgia Work Ready program. Geared only to assessing a benchmark for unemployed Georgians and counties interested in encouraging a stronger workforce through improving high school graduation rates and increasing the number of students choosing post-secondary education options.


Work Ready Assessments

The Work Ready assessment will now be offered only to unemployed individuals or individuals looking to apply for a job listed on workreadyconnect.org.

Accepted verification of unemployment includes:

Official proof of Department of Labor unemployment benefits within the last year.   (Examples: pay stubs or verification of direct deposit of benefits)

Official notice of TANF benefits for the unemployed within the last year

A letter of separation from their previous employer dated within the last 12 months

The Governor’s Office of Workforce Development makes workreadyconnect.org available free of charge to individuals and companies that recognize Work Ready as part of their hiring process.

There is no cost to take the Georgia Work Ready Test. Simply click the yellow “Schedule Now” button and you will be directed to the registration page. Follow the directions to select your test and complete your registration form. You will receive an e-mail confirming the date and time of you scheduled test. Your e-mail and your ID is all you need to take your test.

Notice: OTC is not able to give test results over the phone. The Federal Education Rights Privacy Act (FERPA) requires results be given directly to the student or a designated representative of the student. The student must sign an Authorization to Release Information Form authorizing the designated persons to receive test scores.
