Program Purpose Statement
Paramedicine Diploma
This program prepares graduates for careers in Emergency Medical Services. The program emphasizes a combination of Emergency Medical theory and Practical Skill Applications for successful certification, licensure and employment.
Critical Care Emergency Transport Professional
This program prepares graduates to provide intensive care unit (ICU)-level care during vehicle or air transport to a variety of critically ill patients, ranging in age from neonates to adults.
Emergency Medical Technician certificate
This program prepares students to provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical emergent patients who access the emergency medical system.
Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certificate
This program prepares students to provide basic and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system.

Other Information
Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certificate
Successful completion of the Paramedicine program allows graduates to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic certification exam and apply for Georgia licensure with the State Office of Emergency Medical Service and Trauma (SOEMST) as a paramedic. Criminal background checks and drug screens may be required based on the requirements for participation in clinical experiences.
Critical Care Emergency Transport Professional
Graduates will be prepared to work for emergency management divisions, hospitals, and/or medical transport companies to transport by ground or air critical care patients to specialized medical treatment facilities. Criminal background checks and drug screens may be required based on the requirements for participation in clinical experiences.
Emergency Medical Technician
Successful completion of the program allows graduates to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMT certification examination and apply for Georgia licensure as an EMT. Criminal background checks and drug screens may be required based on the requirements for participation in clinical experiences.
Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certificate
Successful completion of the program allows graduates to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians AEMT certification examination and apply for Georgia licensure as an AEMT. Criminal background checks and drug screens may be required based on the requirements for participation in clinical experiences.
