Posted on Oct 24, 2019 at 15:58 PM

Ogeechee Technical College’s Pharmacy Technology Program celebrated Pharmacy Tech Day by inviting Mr. Mac Lofton, a long-time local PRN Pharmacist, to share his thoughts with pharmacy tech students.

Lofton who recently retired from Fred’s Pharmacy in Statesboro, Ga shared the importance of pharmacology and calculations, expectations of a pharmacy tech and even discussed technicians pay and salary. As students engaged with questions, Mr. Lofton encouraged all of the students to build upon their pharmacy technology education and become whatever they wanted to be, “the sky is the limit”.

Pharmacy Tech Day, the pinnacle of Pharmacy Tech Week, was observed on October 15. For more information on the Pharmacy Technology program, visit www.ogeecheetech.edu/phar.
