Graduation Information
Graduation Requirements - Deadline to apply for graduation ceremony and pay the $40 graduation fee is April 15
To be eligible for graduation, a candidate MUST meet all of the following requirements:
- Complete a a Graduation Application Etrieve form by the mid-term of his/her final term
- Achieve regular admission status
- Complete all course and credit hours required as prescribed in the state standards and/or outlined by each department
- Have a program (graduation) GPA of 2.0
- Complete at least 25% of total credit hours at Ogeechee Technical College
- Satisfy all financial obligations to the college
Graduation with Honors
A President's List Graduate is one who completes his/her program of study with a graduation GPA of 4.0. An Honor List Graduate is one who completes his/her program of study with a graduation GPA of 3.5 or higher. All spring graduates' President's List or Honor List GPA is based on the Fall semester program GPA.

- Online ordering is now available. Online orders must be paid by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express
- Ordering deadlines: Online - March 23 | Bookstore - March 20 with no late fee. Orders placed after the deadline will be subject to a late fee.

What to Expect:
- Pick up your Cap & Gown
- Get your Honor Tassels
- Resolve any holds or balances beforehand — all must be cleared before pickup
- Meet with OTC staff to get your questions answered
- Decorate your cap! – Supplies will be available until 5:00 p.m.
After this day, cap/gown can be picked up from the bookstore. Stop by the Registrar's Office to fill out your name card and pick up your honor tassel if you are graduating with a program (graduation) GPA of at least 3.50.
Commencement Information
We are committed to celebrating the accomplishments of our many talented and deserving students.
2025 Graduation will be on May 15 at the Hanner Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m.
- Tickets will be required for this year's ceremony.
- Ticket Allotment: Each graduate will be allotted 7 tickets for their guests.
- Access Your Tickets:
- Tickets will be available in your Tassel account. Login using your OTC email and the password you created.
- Ticket Required for Entry.
- A ticket is required for all guests to enter the event.
- Anyone over the age of 1 must present a valid ticket to enter the building.
- Ticket Format & Scanning.
- Each ticket will include a unique QR code, which will be scanned electronically upon entry.
- Tickets may be presented on paper or electronically (e.g., on your phone).
- Each QR code can only be scanned once. Re-entry is not allowed.
- Doors will open promptly at 6:00 p.m.
- Parking: View map for designated parking lots.
- Handicap parking and seating will be readily available. We ask that our handicap guests make arrangements to only have one guest with them in the handicap designated areas.
- Plan to arrive and be seated before the ceremony begins at 7pm.
- Seating is first come, first served.
- Reminders of Guests:
- No alcoholic beverages
- No weapons of any kind
- No balloons or confetti
- No large cakes, cup cakes, etc
Diplomas
Once all awards have been confirmed, students will receive their degree, diploma, or certificate six to eight weeks after the end of the term and these will be sent first to the student's OTC email electronically and then mailed.
