16 Units of Blood Donated at Campus Blood Drive

16 Units of Blood Donated at Campus Blood DriveFuture Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at Ogeechee Technical College recently partnered with the American Red Cross of Southeast and Coastal Georgia to hold the first blood drive of 2024 on OTC’s campus.

The Red Cross set up in the Oak Room of the Jack Hill Building from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28 and collected 16 units of blood.

FBLA sponsored the blood drive and there were additional volunteers from the National Technical Honors Society (NTHS) and the Fish & Wildlife program.

To date, OTC has hosted a total of 53 drives, collected 1,712 units, and had 1998 total donors.

Ogeechee on the Go is the name of Ogeechee Technical College’s community service initiative. OTC students and employees routinely participate in projects designed to support worthwhile causes within the community.
