2024 iGot Campaign Raises Over $750,000The Board of Trustees of the Ogeechee Technical College Foundation announced at the We Are OTC Celebration on March 28, that the 2024 campaign raised $751,095 to support ongoing needs at Ogeechee Technical College.

"Joining the OTC community in the heart of the iGot campaign gave me the perfect opportunity to see how the college and community work together to fuel our mission," said Larry Mays, VP for College Advancement at OTC. "The college has designed academic programs around the very real needs of today's workforce, and the foundation serves to help support the needs of those programs and the students who are in them. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has contributed to this year's iGot campaign, whether it's a first-time gift, or they are a longtime supporter."

This year’s campaign held separate iGot kickoff events with community volunteers in Bulloch, Evans, and Screven counties. The money raised in each year’s campaign gets dispersed to cover several critical needs of the College including but not limited to; funding scholarships, providing students with emergency funds, supporting the adult literacy program, assisting with GED testing scholarships, purchasing and leasing state-of-the-art equipment for classrooms and labs, and purchasing property to donate to the College for campus expansion.

This is the first year that OTC has held it’s We Are OTC Celebration, and it was implemented to celebrate and appreciate how the community and OTC work together to meet the needs of the local workforce.

"This year we have chosen to do things a little differently at the end of our iGot campaign," said OTC President, Lori Durden. "We have always concluded our campaign with a celebration, but this year we wanted to begin a new tradition where faculty, staff, alumni, and community members can gather together to appreciate all of the good things that have been accomplished in and through the extended OTC family."

The We Are OTC Celebration was held in downtown Statesboro at The Market at Visit Statesboro at 6:30 p.m. In attendance were members of the OTC faculty and staff, as well as OTC alumni, local and foundation board members, and community partners.
