2025 iGot Campaign Kicks Off in Evans and Screven Counties

Ogeechee Technical College (OTC) launched its 2025 “I Give to Ogeechee Tech” (iGot) fundraising campaign with kickoff events on Feb. 18 in Evans County and Feb. 25 in Screven County. The Bulloch County iGot kickoff is set for March 18 in the Jack Hill Building on OTC’s Statesboro campus.
“Having joined the OTC family last year, I was new to the whole process. Now, a year later, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing how the funds raised during the iGot campaign directly support our students. It’s amazing to watch how our communities come together to support one another,” said Larry Mays, VP for College Advancement.
Each year, money raised through iGot funds critical needs, including scholarships, emergency student aid, the adult literacy program, GED testing scholarships, classroom and lab equipment, and campus expansion.
During the kickoff events, attendees hear firsthand from OTC students who have benefited from iGot donations. Courtney Boswell, a student in the Paramedicine program, shared how the support impacted her journey.
“My entire life, I’ve felt like I had to be in survival mode, constantly working just to make ends meet,” Boswell said. “I’m 34 years old and finally chasing a dream. OTC and the foundation made me feel like I’m worth the investment—that I’m worth the hope of a better future. Because of that scholarship, I was able to get my books and take a big breath of fresh air for once.”
The iGot campaign will conclude at the We Are OTC celebration, scheduled for April 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Market at Visit Statesboro. The event will honor friends and alumni of OTC and celebrate the campaign’s fundraising efforts.
