Finch named Director for Institutional Research & Planning

Ogeechee Technical College has named Kathryn Finch the new Director for Institutional Research and Planning. Finch supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Institutional Effectiveness division in the evaluation, planning, and budgeting system to assure quality programs and services for the college. 

Finch who has been working at Ogeechee Tech since July 15, 2019, was previously serving as the Quality Manager at East Georgia Healthcare Center (EGHC). During her employment at EGHC, Finch was responsible for renewing Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition and maintaining quality standards administered by the federal government. Under her care, EGHC also received several state-issued quality awards.

Finch owns both a Masters of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Health and PE from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Georgia. She has also had 4 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, including one in JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical Association. “Kathryn’s educational and research backgrounds will prove to be valuable assets as we maintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of programs and services at Ogeechee Tech,” said Brandy Taylor, Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness. 

Ogeechee Technical College (OTC) is a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia. OTC provides student‐centered academic and occupational programs and support services at the associate degree, diploma, and certificate levels. OTC utilizes traditional and distance education methodologies in state-of-the-art facilities while supporting adult education, continuing education, and customized business and industry workforce training.
