Martin Presents at JRCERT 50th Anniversary Conference

Jan Martin, Radiologic Technology Program Director and Instructor, was invited to speak at the JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) 50th Anniversary Conference held November 3-5, 2019 in Chicago, Il.
“It was a privilege to be one of fifteen chosen to present at this year’s 50th Anniversary Conference. I had the opportunity to network and talk with other professionals in the field about the valuable experiences that students have in the Radiologic Technology Program here at Ogeechee Tech,” said Martin.
One of only a handful of professionals in her field invited to speak at the Semicentennial celebration, Martin presented her topic “What we Teach Versus What They See” to a room of nearly 300 people that included JRCERT administration, board members, program heads, and colleagues from across the nation. Martin said her presentation explored the differences in experiences students may have in a classroom setting versus what they might encounter out in the medical field.
Ogeechee Technical College (OTC) is a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia. OTC provides student‐centered academic and occupational programs and support services at the associate degree, diploma, and certificate levels. OTC utilizes traditional and distance education methodologies in state-of-the-art facilities while supporting adult education, continuing education, and customized business and industry workforce training.
