OTC Board of Directors Achieve 100% Board Certification

The Ogeechee Technical College Foundation Board of Directors was recently honored at the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Leadership Conference in Savannah for achieving 100% Board Certification through the Technical College Directors Association (TCDA) for the 9th time.
“I’m extremely proud to share that our board is now 100% certified. Earning this designation requires each member to complete a series of courses that deepen our understanding of the college, it’s history, the communities we serve, and the broader role of the Technical College System of Georgia,” said OTC Board of Directors Chairman, Micheal Summers. “As my first year serving as chair, achieving full board certification was one of the goals I set for myself, and I’m grateful for the support of President Lori Durden and Karen Mobley in helping us reach this milestone.”
The Technical College Directors Association is an arm of TCSG, providing professional classes for board members to support the technical colleges by having board members who are knowledgeable about their roles and responsibilities. All members of a college’s board must complete the certification created by the TCDA to be eligible for the 100% club.
