OTC Dental Assisting Student Named Hinman Scholar

Kassy Clark, a Dental Assisting Student at Ogeechee Technical College, has been named as a Hinman Scholar. The Hinman Dental Society, since 1911, has sponsored the annual Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta, and has been granting scholarships to deserving Dental Assisting students since 2005. Clark received a $750 scholarship at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta at a luncheon honoring the Hinman Scholars on March 23rd.
Clark, a second semester Dental Assisting student, serves as the Dental Assisting Club secretary, and is scheduled to graduate in July. OTC Dental Assisting instructor, Yvonne Jenkins, commented, “I am very proud that Kassy is part of the Dental Assisting program. She will be a great asset to the profession of dentistry.”
