Drivers Education program welcomes speaker

Posted on Jun 24, 2019 at 15:48 PM

Ogeechee Technical College’s Drivers Education program recently welcomed guest speaker Ron Main, who is with Advance Auto Parts, to speak with students currently in classes.  Students under 17 years of age sign-up for Drivers Education Training to satisfy Joshua’s Law, a Georgia state law enacted in 2007. Teen drivers are required to get specific driver’s training experience before being eligible to obtain their license. Ogeechee Tech provides classes each year through its Continuing Education program which satisfies the requirements of Joshua’s law.  Students who take the class enjoy a diverse course that blends hands-on experience with instruction from industry professionals.  In the photo, Main is shown demonstrating how to check the oil level in a vehicle.
