OTC Honors Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink Out

Group Photo and Selfie Collage of PINK OUT DAY Participants at OTCOgeechee Technical College held a Pink Out Day on Monday, October 11 to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Students, faculty, and staff were encouraged to wear pink and informational materials and promotional items were available.


“We have really great participation in this event every year,” said Beckie Snyder, Administrative Assistant for AVPSA. “It’s one of the things I look forward to the most each year because I see how it brings students, faculty, and staff together.”


Snyder who is responsible for planning the Pink Out each year said that the event has been held each year for over a decade.


Breast Cancer Awareness month is an annual health campaign observed in October to raise awareness of the disease, promote the importance of screening, treatment, early detection, and support services.
