OTC Instructor Accepted into 2026 AI-ALOE Fellows Program

Ogeechee Technical College’s, Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year, Michael Twisdale, was recently accepted into the 2026 Teaching Fellows Program for the National AI Institute for Adult Learning and Online Education (AI-ALOE).

“Being chosen for the 2026 AI-ALOE cohort means collaborating with Georgia Tech researchers and graduate assistants to bring AI into my COMP 1000 - Introduction to Computer Literacy course,” said Twisdale. “It's the ideal foundation for teaching students how to use AI tools effectively and ethically.”

The AI-ALOE Teaching Fellowship Program empowers educators to participate in cutting-edge research studies at AI-ALOE, collaborating with our esteemed researchers and scientists to integrate AI solutions into their curricula.

The program is designed to help prepare, support, and empower instructors to effectively use AI technologies in teaching and learning. Additionally, instructors will work collaboratively to co-design responsible AI technologies.
