Ogeechee Technical College is now featured on Amazon Prime Video as part of the nationally recognized television series The College Tour, giving prospective students and families around the world an inside look at the college through the stories and experiences of its students.

“The best thing about working with the College Tour was being able to highlight our students authentically; they were tasked with writing their own scripts,” said Sean Payne, Executive Director for Public Relations and Marketing at Ogeechee Technical College. “I get the pleasure of coming to work every day and telling their stories, but now we have a platform for expanding that conversation to a global audience.”

The episode officially premiered on Amazon Prime Video on June 16 and highlights Ogeechee Tech’s academic programs, hands-on training opportunities, student support services, and commitment to workforce development. Through personal stories shared by current students, viewers gain an authentic perspective on college life and career preparation at OTC.

Created by host and executive producer Alex Boylan, The College Tour was developed to help students and families explore colleges and universities they may not otherwise have the opportunity to visit in person. Now in its 16th season, the series streams on Amazon Prime Video and reaches audiences nationwide.

Ogeechee Technical College is just the second technical college in the nation to be featured on the series.

“Ogeechee Tech offers the perfect blend of opportunity and value,” said Boylan. “You can really feel how everyone—faculty, staff, and students—is working together toward the same goal: helping students launch successful careers in the local workforce.”

Filmed during the first week of the fall semester, the episode follows students from a variety of academic programs as they share their educational journeys, career goals, and reasons for choosing Ogeechee Tech. Their stories showcase the supportive campus environment, dedicated faculty, and real-world learning experiences available across the college.

An Orlando-based production crew spent a week on campus capturing footage for the episode. According to the crew, filming included several unique firsts for the series, from learning about Funeral Service Education to documenting raccoon releases through the Fish and Wildlife Management program and even filming a few games of pickleball.

OTC celebrated the launch of the episode with a premiere event at the historic Emma Kelly Theater in downtown Statesboro prior to its global release on Amazon Prime Video.
