OTC Welcomes Michelle Fields as New Director for Admissions

Ogeechee Technical College is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Fields as Director for Admissions. In this position, she will be responsible for leading admissions operations and overseeing recruitment, enrollment, compliance and other strategic initiatives.

“I’ve had a lifelong commitment to education and helping people succeed, from the hundreds of students I’ve taught to the countless pre-service teachers I’ve mentored,” said Fields. “I truly believe in OTC’s mission of helping students develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to build successful futures.”

Fields served as an educator for nearly 30 years prior to joining the staff at Ogeechee Tech in 2023. Since joining the college, she has served as Dual Enrollment Coordinator/Recruiter and, most recently, as Assistant Director for Admissions. In these roles, Fields has played an important part in OTC’s enrollment efforts, assisting with the planning and management of major campus events while supporting daily admissions application processing and data management.

“I love being part of an institution that gives students opportunities to discover their strengths, reach their goals and change the trajectory of their lives,” added Fields.

Fields earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia Southern University and holds a P-5 certification in elementary education through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. She also holds a Teacher Support Specialist Endorsement.

Outside of her professional role, Fields values spending time with her husband and two daughters. She is passionate about her faith, family and spending time outdoors.
