Sean Payne named Executive Director for PR & Marketing at Ogeechee Tech

Ogeechee Technical College has named Sean Payne the Executive Director for Public Relations and Marketing. Payne, who has been in this position since August 22, serves under Michelle Davis, VP for College Advancement, and oversees the PR and Marketing efforts for Ogeechee Technical College.  

Payne comes to Ogeechee Tech after serving at Georgia Southern University, most recently as the Chief Communications Officer for the Division of Student Affairs, where he was responsible for the marketing and communications efforts for nearly 20 departments. Sean was instrumental in telling the Student Affairs story at Georgia Southern to regional audiences. 

With extensive experience in marketing and communications at both Georgia Southern and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Payne will be instrumental in conducting the efforts of Ogeechee Tech’s public relations and marketing campaigns. “Sean brings a wealth of experience to our college that will undoubtedly impact our local community as he works to increase awareness of the opportunities available at Ogeechee Tech,” said Christy Rikard, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. 

Payne has a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with an emphasis in Web and Multimedia from Georgia Southern University.  

Ogeechee Technical College (OTC) is a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia. OTC provides student‐centered academic and occupational programs and support services at the associate degree, diploma, and certificate levels. OTC utilizes traditional and distance education methodologies in state-of-the-art facilities while supporting adult education, continuing education, and customized business and industry workforce training.
