Student Leadership Council Sponsors Soup Kitchen

The Student Leadership Council (SLC) of Ogeechee Technical College recently sponsored the Statesboro Soup Kitchen at the First United Methodist Church in Statesboro. The participants cooked and served Shepard’s Pie, green beans, rolls, and dessert for 387 people.
The Echocardiography and Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs donated and handed out water, juice, fruit, hygiene products, socks, and more, while the Dental Assisting program donated and handed out toothpaste. Thirty-three Ogeechee Tech volunteers assisted with the Soup Kitchen from SLC, Echocardiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Dental Assisting, Accounting, Business Management, and the Ogeechee Tech Bookstore.
