Program Purpose Statement
The Manufacturing Engineering Technology Associate of Applied Science course of study prepares students to use basic engineering principles and technical skills in developing and testing automated, servomechanical, and other electromechanical systems. This degree program will include instruction in prototype testing, manufacturing and operational testing, systems analysis, and maintenance procedures. Graduates should be qualified for employment in industrial maintenance and manufacturing including assembly, testing, startup, troubleshooting, repair, process improvement, and control systems, and should qualify to sit for Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI) mechatronics or similar industry examinations.

• Starting at higher entry-level pay; Hire as an Operator(or equivalent), putting them ahead of other outside candidates and start them off at $16+ an hour
META I & II Completion
• Hire as a Setter(or equivalent) putting them ahead of other outside candidates and start them off at $18+ an hour
• After a year of service, the ability to continue education with tuition and book costs paid for by the company
Other incentives that may be considered
• A good performer may be hired directly into the company’s maintenance apprenticeship program

• Starting higher entry-level pay – Level 1 Assembler $12.50, Level 2 Assembler $14.00

META I & II Completion
• Guaranteed job interview onsite
• Guaranteed three-month probationary trial
• Starting at higher entry-level pay – Level 2 Assembler $15.00
• $500 Signing Bonus ($100 after successful completion of orientation and $400 after 90 days with perfect attendance)
• After two years of service, the ability to complete the Diploma or Associate’s Degree program with tuition reimbursement by the company
• Participation in the company’s “Signing Day” event
