Opticianry program partnership brings free Vision Clinic to campus

Opticianry Students in classroomThe Opticianry program at Ogeechee Technical College is partnering with the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation to provide a free Vision Clinic on OTC’s campus on July 27.

Dr. Ryan Piche, O.D. from Georgia Eye Institute in Glennville, Georgia will be performing free eye examinations from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Health Science North building at OTC.

“It’s our pleasure to bring such a critical service to members of our community free of charge,” said Deborah DeLoach, OTC’s Opticianry program director. “Eyecare is about health and quality of life, and we are grateful for our partnerships that make this clinic possible.” 

Exams are by appointment only and can be made by calling Deborah DeLoach at 912.786.7404 Monday through Thursday, or Georgia Lighthouse at 404.325.3630, Friday through Sunday. Patients must bring completed service application to the exam which can be found at www.lionslighthouse.org/services/

Glasses will be made available for purchase following eye exams, or if you already have a valid examination, you can bring documentation with you to purchases glasses.
