Solar charging station added at OTC

A recent addition to the main campus of Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro is an outdoor solar charging station. Acquired as part of a grant from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority and the U.S. Department of Energy, the station can be used to charge cellular phones and other devices. The power for the unit is provided through solar panels above the table. The charging station was part of a larger project which included solar panels for the College’s new Screven County Commercial Truck Driving Complex in Sylvania.
